  WORD for Windows - Level 1

Prerequisite: Introduction to Windows or Introduction to Personal Computing. 

Topics include: * creating, editing, formatting text * using tabs, indents, margins * working with blocks of text * doing envelopes * using speller * printing. Additional topics in the 12-hour course include: * headers and footers * sections * tables * mixing text and graphics (Clip Art). If you plan to take Level 2, the 12-hour Level 1 is recommended. Appropriate for users of version 6.0, 7.0, or 97. Version 97 will be used. 

Fee: $325, twelve-hour course. 

 

WORD for Windows - Level 2

Prerequisite: WORD for Windows - Level 1 (12-hour course) or equivalent knowledge and skills. 

Designed for those who are ready to move beyond the basics and take advantage of many more software features. 

Topics include:* working with advanced table features * introduction to styles, templates, merging * introduction to macros * using newspaper columns. Appropriate for users of version 6.0, 7.0, or 97. Version 97 will be used. 

Fee: $215, six-hour course. 

WORD for Windows - Level 3

Prerequisite: WORD for Windows - Level 2 or equivalent knowledge and skills. 

Looking to optimize the construction and appearance of complex WORD documents? 

Topics of this course will make that possible with: * advanced styles * creating and using templates, forms * drawing, working with clip art *preparing a master document *generating an index *creating footnotes, endnotes *using techiques to share documents *customizing your workspace. Appropriate for users of version 6.0, 7.0, or 97. Version 97 will be used. 

Fee: $215, six-hour course.
