EXCEL for Windows - Level 1

Prerequisite: Introduction to Windows or Introduction to Personal Computing. 

Designed for new users of EXCEL for Windows. 

Topics include: * worksheet basics * entering formulas * performing "what if" calculations * using the toolbar, online help, Wizards * formatting, printing worksheets * introduction to charts. Additional topics in the 12-hour course include:* Lists * naming ranges * working with and linking multiple worksheets * in-class project. If you plan to take Level 2, the 12-hour Level 1 is recommended. Appropriate for users of version 7.0 or 97. Version 97 will be used. 

Fee: $325, twelve-hour course. 

 

EXCEL for Windows - Level 2

Prerequisite: EXCEL for Windows - Level 1 or equivalent knowledge and skills 

Harness some of the real power of EXCEL in this Level-2 course. 

Topics include: * customizing the work area * creating styles, templates * advanced formula construction * multiple file linking * consolidating information * pivot tables * protecting information. Appropriate for users of version 7.0 or 97. Version 97 will be used. 

Fee: $215, six-hour course. 

 

MACRO PROGRAMMING - Using VBA 

Prerequisite: Excel for Windows - Levels 1 and 2 or equivalent knowledge and skills

Course is designed for those who want to program Microsoft Office products - whether Word, Excel, Access, or Powerpoint - using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Examples in the course primarily use Excel, but the concepts are applicable to all the programs.
