Access - Level 1

Prerequisite: Introduction to Windows or Introduction to Personal Computing. 

Topics in this course include: * database concepts, terminology * managing records in a table * creating, using reports * using queries, calculations in queries * creating, modifying a table * creating, using forms. Version 97 will be used. 

Fee: $215, six-hour course. 

Access - Level 2

Prerequisite:Access - Level 1 or equivalent knowledge and skills 

Topics include: * designing queries * creating table relationships * enhanced report design * enhanced form design * creating mailing labels * creating multi-table queries * enhanced table design. Version 97 will be used. 

Fee: $215, six-hour course. 

Access - Level 3

Prerequisite:Access - Level 2 or equivalent knowledge and skills 

This course is designed for people developing full applications with Access, including use of many tables. Topics include: * doing advanced queries * adjusting join properties *setting object properties, functions, events, actions * creating a crosstab query * creating macros for forms. Version 97 will be used. 

Fee: $215, six-hour course. 

 

Access - Developing an Application

Prerequisite:Access - Level 3 or equivalent knowledge and skills 

Participants in this course will explore the components of an application, tying objects together into a system. 

Topics include: * understanding design concepts * organizing data * creating macro groups * writing Access Basic code * creating custom menus and toolbars * documenting the design. Version 97 will be used.
